Mike Larry Draw is the industry Phantom who pushes boundaries with his note selections. The foundation was laid for the future of the brand. With 2019, set for success, new heights is the only direction for the Clothing line, and brand new album, Wabi Sabi. Mike Larry Draw… Japanese influence with a Bronx twist.  An artist. A father. Born in Bronx, NY, Mike Larry Draw started rapping at the tender age of 10 years old… Mike always saw music as the great equalizer. A pure and almost innocent way to connect with people, and cultures. But Mike has never been an artist who fits neatly into one box. Mike Larry Draw has always incorporated Japanese characters and art into his music. Art, music, and apparel. They are the passions that drive this creative man. Mike Larry Draw, like his mentors, continues to give back selflessly to the music community in New York City as the founder of The Anomaly Konglomerate. The event - a eight-year-and-running series - is a top producer session in New York City. The AK has garnered a reputation as the hang-out for the hottest musicians and launch pad for emerging talent.

WAB SABI

INSTRUMENTAL ABLUM

The name of this instrumental project is Wabi Sabi. The Word Wabi Sabi is a Japanese term which means “a way of living that focuses on finding beauty within the imperfections of life and accepting peacefully the natural cycle of growth and decay.” In the illustration, (art cover) created by Mike Larry Draw, you see a floating black ghost holding instrument called the Sp-404A. This ghost is metaphor that can be up for anyones interpretation. The Ghost floats in the middle of a lot in the Bronx.

The inspiration of this project was found during the trip to Japan. I spent 2 weeks in Japan on a 4 city tour and I was astonished by what I saw around me. I then realize what JDilla felt when he created Jay love Japan. It was exactly what I needed to put myself in a very creative space. This album is a clash of Bronx style Hip Hop meets Japanese samples from varies mediums like anime, soul and games. My main objective of this project is to bridge a gap between a similar Hip Hop culture. I consider this album Progressive considering each track isn't the traditional/ stereo typical arrangement of a hip hop instrumental album.

Enjoy
